Llyn y Gader (Rhyd Ddu)

Llyn y Gader is a small circular lake near the village of Rhyd Ddu in Eryri (Snowdonia). The Lon Gwyrfai trail passes along the western side, and is one of the highlights of that route.

The remains of the Llyn y Gader slate quarries can be seen on the south-western shores of Llyn y Gader.

Judging by the boats, it is also a popular fishing location.
